Phil Mason

Phil joined TrustMark as the Head of Compliance. He has worked in compliance for over 25 years. Phil was attracted to TrustMark by the ‘once in a generation’ opportunity Each Home Counts has created to build greater consumer confidence and uptake of Energy Efficiency Measures, Retrofit, Repair, Maintenance and Installation in and around the home. During the early 1990’s he first entered the world of compliance by joining CORGI as a Technical Standards Inspector and finished his service as an Operations Manager. He worked for nearly 10 years in the UKs largest business process outsourcing and professional services company and was provided with opportunities to progress his interest in project work, delivering numerous ventures within the energy efficiency and safety arenas. He finally took on the opportunity of heading technical compliance and operations within a major contract for the Health and Safety Executive before joining TrustMark.

Bryan Glendinning

Engenera

Bryan Glendinning – Chief Executive Officer MBA: Engenera Renewables Limited: Bryan, a civil engineer by profession has operated within the heating and insulation industry for the last 20 years and worked as National Installations Manager at EAGA Plc. There he successfully managed the annual delivery of the £350 million Government funded Warm Front scheme, where with his team they drove production to the highest possible delivery level of around 8000 heating and insulation measures per month; as well as improving the Customer Experience, Quality and Safety across all sectors of the industry. Bryan was a member of both the Group commercial board as well as being part of the scheme management board. Bryan’s role on the scheme board was to control the full life cycle of the delivery, from procurement, supply chain, installation, aftercare and maintenance. Bryan is an active figure in the energy efficiency and fuel poverty arena and has historically worked closely with DECC on a number of projects. He was also the Chairman of GAIN the National Network of Installers, guiding and assisting around 3000 installers nationally in the delivery of measures across many technologies. Bryan has also been influencial in the development of both a gas and PV installer network for Engenera’s existing and future delivery platform. As well as being the key player within Engenera for developing the funding platforms that now see Engenera with huge growth opportunities. In recent years Bryan has succesfully completed two major EPC operational contracts for solar PV, the first for Riverside Housing in Liverpool on a contract of 1000 houses and the second for Carillion Energy Services where they carried out a very challenging remedial contract over a National platform on 2500 houses. Bryan is a strong advocate of NEA and the great work they do in the fuel poverty arena and has himself been recognised for the work he does in the fuel poverty sector at the last two years National awards.

Jane Thomas

E.ON Energy Solutions

Jane has over 10 years’ experience in the energy efficiency industry. As a business development and account manager for E.ON’s Obligation Partnership team, she works closely with social housing providers and contractors delivering ECO funded Energy Efficiency projects in the East Midlands and the North East of England.

Peter Rowley

Rowleys Commercial Energy Assessment Ltd

Peter is a family man, married to Alison for 36 years and has two children and four grandchildren. Studied at University of Wolverhampton and gained a First Class Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying, and holds a Certificate in Education (FAHE). A varied career starting life off as an Estimator, moving into Quantity surveying and then teaching at Sandwell College for 14 years, before holding a dual role as Director of the Centre for Vocational Excellence overseeing four East Midlands Construction Centres and also as Head of School at New College Nottingham. In 2007 Peter set up his own business, Rowleys Commercial Energy Assessment Ltd which operates in the Domestic and Non Domestic Market. He has also worked on a consultancy basis for three of the UK Energy Assessment Accreditation Schemes offering technical support, training and auditing services and supports other energy assessors in undertaking their roles with advice and guidance. Peter has over the last twelve months been proactive in delivering various seminars on the practical impact of Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards to members of RICS, BIAC and Energy Assessor Groups. In 2018 Rowleys were nominated and were successful in winning the prestigious East Midlands Regional Energy Efficiency Awards Consultant of the Year.

Steve Davies

NICEIC

Steve Davies has worked in the renewable sector for the past 15 years and with NICEIC for the last 10; starting as a Centre Manager at NICEIC Certification’s Training Centre in Chesterfield; amongst his responsibilities were the writing and delivery of renewable technology training courses e.g. Solar Thermal, Heat Pumps and Solar PV. With the advent of the Microgeneration scheme, Steve was tasked with training the NICEIC Technical assessors to delivery audits and Certify companies as compliant with MCS and the associated Building Regulations. Steve went on to became Scheme Manager of the Energy Efficiency Technology Schemes offered by NICEIC maintaining a field force of over 80 assessors working for me all over the UK. Steve has been provided presentations at various events including Eco Build and sat on Government Steering Groups tasked with the improvement and development of energy efficiency schemes targeted to assist in the achievement of UK Carbon Targets. Steve has been involved in initiatives such as Feed In Tariff, Renewable Heat Incentive, Green Deal and ECO. Acting as Certsure’s scheme manager for both the NICEIC and ELECSA Installer Schemes which met these schemes requirements, undertaking assessments against MCS, Building Regulations, PAS 2030 and 2031.

Michael Gallagher

Midlands Energy Hub – Nottingham City Council

Michael started his career working at the Energy Saving Trust providing energy efficiency advice to the general public. The role developed into consultancy work, working on fuel poverty related SLAs with Local Authorities in the Midlands. Michael then worked for Mark Group as a Solar PV system designer working on large scale social housing, Local Authority and commercial projects. For the last four years Michael has been working as an Operations Manager, overseeing the supply and installation of building integrated solar PV across the UK for the construction sector. During this time he also gained an MSc in Energy and Industrial Sustainability. In his current role Michael as Regional Energy Projects Manager he is leading the Midlands Energy Hub and will also have an operational focus on the D2N2 area. He is using his skills and experience to identify and implement Energy Projects across the D2N2 LEP area.
