2024 National Awards Gala Dinner Menu

There is a four choice dinner menu for these awards. Guests can choose a starter, main and dessert course from the options below prior to the event, and it will be prepared, by the excellent kitchen staff at the Metropole Hotel, for your enjoyment on the night.

Please let us know in advance if you have any specific dietary requirements and we will try to ensure you have a satisfactory dining experience on the night.

Starter

A - Smoked chicken tian

with shredded barbeque salad of chicken, sweet potato and roast garlic, a sweetcorn mousse, and a tarragon coulis

B - Assiette of duck

Confit duck on redcurrant gel and honey roast peppered duck breast on caramelised pear, shallot balsamic dressing and celeriac mousse

C - Mediterranean artichoke tomato courgette and roast pepper stack V Vg

with a roast garlic and basil dressing topped with black olive tapenade.

D - Warm Tart of Cornish Yarg V

with Nutmeg and Spinach on creamed leek puree, with a rocket and cider vinaigrette salad

Main

E - Duo of Pork

Five spiced slow roasted pork belly with a pork and sage patty, leek and potato cake, sprouting broccoli, charred cardamom carrots and calvados jus

F - Herb marinated chicken breast

with cajun potato gratin potatoes, sautéed Savoy cabbage, braised carrots, sugar snaps and tarragon jus

G - Vegan meatball skewers V Vg

on a roast aubergine and red onion cous cous scented with Moroccan spice finished with a roast tomato, garlic fondue and tahini citrus dressing.

H - Indian spiced roast cauliflower steak V Vg

on a spinach and coriander pakora with a chickpea and red pepper ragout, gingered mango chutney drizzle

Dessert

I - Baked coconut and lemon rice V Vg

with raspberries and mango gel

J - Dark chocolate truffle V Vg

with cherry compote and Annabel’s honey Chantilly cream

K - Trio of desserts

Raspberry parfait, milk chocolate tart, vanilla pannacotta with toffee sauce

L - Chocolate dessert trio

Chocolate fudge cake, milk chocolate pannacotta and white chocolate ice cream

Tea,Coffee and Petit Fours
will be served after dinner.

There will be 4 bottles of House Wine on all the tables during dinner
along with a small number of bottles of beer and soft drinks.

Wine waiters will be on hand throughout the night and there is a cash bar just outside the room.
Please Note:The bar will be closed during the drinks reception and actual award presentations, when there will only be table service.
Please drink responsibly. Anti-Social behaviour will not be tolerated.
